Rockefeller & Co., Inc. is a registered investment advisor headquartered in New York City. The firm is a subsidiary of Rockefeller Financial Services, Inc. Rockefeller & Co. is the successor firm to the office established in New York City in 1882 by John D. Rockefeller to manage his family's assets and to create and sustain wealth for future generations. The office provided investment management and financial counseling services for the Rockefellers and related organizations. Rockefeller & Co. was incorporated in 1979 and became an SEC-registered investment advisor in 1980. They expanded their capabilities by chartering trust companies in New York in 1985 and Delaware in 1997.
