Johan de Kock

Mr. Johan de Kock is a Head of Domestic Equity Research at Vunani Fund Managers Pty Ltd.
He has over 28 years of investment experience.
Mr. de Kock joined the Iscor Pension Fund in 1989 as a Bond Analyst with responsibilities for money market after heading up credit analysis at Boland Bank from 1988.
After a stint on the fixed income side, he naturally moved into covering resource stocks for Iscor Pension Fund.
After leaving Iscor in 2001 Mr. de Kock joined Coris Capital where he was responsible for managing the resources portfolio of R3.5bn.
In 2002, Mr. de Kock oversaw the merger of Coris with one of the first BEE managers in SA, Prodigy Asset Management to form Prodigy-Coris Asset Management.
He held the position of Chief Investment Officer with assets in excess of R8bn prior to its sale to Cadiz.
Mr. de Kock was responsible for creating the investment process for the new company.
He left Cadiz in 2008 to join Metropolitan Asset Managers where he was Head of Equity Research and a Portfolio Manager within the equity team.
