Previously, Ms. Nelson was a Member of FMB-Lumberman's Senior Management Team from 1983 to 1998, President of Hospice of Muskegon, Oceana, Inc., Chairman of Muskegon/Oceana Red Cross, Co-Chairman of the United Way Campaign of Muskegon, Vice President of Mercy Hospital, a Committee Member of Muskegon County Heart Walk, a Member of the Nominating Committee of Pine and Dunes Girl Scouts and Chairman of the Workforce Development Board of Muskegon County.
She began her career in 1958 with National Lumberman's Bank, where she held various positions, including Retail Branch Manager, Vice President of Branch Administration, Trust Department Head and Vice President in charge of Private Banking.
