Julia Bredtmann

Dr. Julia Bredtmann is a Head of Migration & Integration Research at RWI - Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung e.V.
In April 2015, she joined RWI as head of the research group "Migration and Integration" and member of the research department "Labor Markets, Education, Population." She is also a research affiliate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) and a research fellow at the Center for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM).
Her research interests cover labor economics, migration economics, and applied microeconomics.
She studied Economics at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, obtaining her Ph.D.
During her Ph.D.
studies, she was a teaching fellow at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
After finishing her Ph.D., she spent a one-year research visit at Aarhus University, Denmark.
