Kári Stefánsson

Kári Stefánsson is the founder of deCODE genetics, Inc. (founded in 1996) and deCODE Genetics ehf (founded in 1996).
He holds the titles of President & President-Research at deCODE genetics, Inc. in 2010 and Chief Executive Officer at deCODE Genetics ehf.
Dr. Stefánsson is also the founder of DGI Resolution, Inc. Dr. Stefánsson's current job is as a Director at Genomics Medicine Ireland Ltd since 2017.
His former jobs include being the Director-Neuropathology at Beth Israel Hospital from 1993 to 1997, a Director at Neumora Therapeutics, Inc., and a Professor at Harvard University from 1993 to 1997.
Dr. Stefánsson obtained a doctorate degree from the University of Iceland.
