He joined Sandler O'Neill from The Chicago Corporation, where he was Senior Vice President, Director of Bank Equity Research and a member of the firm’s Equity Capital Markets Committee.
Prior to joining The Chicago Corporation, he was a Senior Vice President in the Equity Research Department of Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, Inc., covering primarily Midwest-based banks and thrifts, a research niche that he continues to pursue at Sandler O’Neill.
He spent the first eleven years of his career in financial management, forecasting and profit planning positions at two large regional banks (Comerica, Inc. and Mellon Financial Corp).
He has been frequently quoted in business news media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s and The American Banker.
Mr. Puglisi is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He received his MBA degree from the University of Detroit and a BS degree from the University of Dayton.
