Leif L. Eskesen

Eskesen is Chief Economist at The Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corp.
Ltd.
He worked for close to 10 years at the International Monetary Fund's headquarters in Washington, DC, where he was a Senior Economist and a country mission chief.
Prior to joining the International Monetary Fund, he worked for Danmarks Nationalbank, Denmark's central bank, where he was Head of Section and worked in the department responsible for the strategic management of the foreign exchange reserves.
Before this, Leif worked for one of Denmark's large commercial banks and as a Research Scholar at his university.
He holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark.
