Ms. Livia Moretti is on the Board of Directors at Banque CIC (Suisse) AG.
She has more than 20 years of banking, managerial and financial experience at international level in European institutions and private banks in Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland.
In 2023 Ms. Moretti took over as CEO of CIC (Switzerland), where she strengthened governance, ensured regulatory compliance, repositioned the strategy and gave the bank an unprecedented profile, notably by playing an active role in Swiss economic debates and the evolution of the Swiss financial marketplace.
Under her leadership the bank posted record net profit three years in a row.
In April 2026 she was appointed Administratrice déléguée of Banque de Luxembourg and remains involved in the strategic development of CIC (Switzerland) and the Swiss economy as a member of the Board of Directors since 2026.
Ms. Moretti started her career in Luxembourg in 2003 with a private banking group, where she held various positions over a period of eight years, before working at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier and the Banque Centrale du Luxembourg.
She then joined the European Central Bank, where she spent nearly ten years, most importantly as a division head; she contributed in particular to rolling out the Single Supervisory Mechanism and developing policy and methodology for European banking supervision; she was responsible for directly supervising the largest European banks, including systemically important institutions.
She holds a Master’s degree in Economy of Financial Institutions and Markets from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan.
