Nixon Ellis is President and Chief Executive Officer of Argolyn Bioscience, Inc. Most recently, he was President of Trimeris, Inc. Prior to joining Trimeris, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Triangle Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1995 to 2000.
Dr. Ellis worked at Wellcome Co. and The Wellcome Foundation Ltd. He was Assistant Director of Virology.
Previously, he held various positions at Burroughs Wellcome.
He has over 20 years of experience in research-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Dr. Ellis received a BS degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina, an MS degree in Medical Microbiology, a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Georgia, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
