Mark Bennett Burka

Mr. Mark B.
Burka, CFA MBA, is Senior Portfolio Manager at Ziegler Capital Management LLC.
He is primarily responsible for managing firm's Disciplined Equity strategy.
Prior to joining Ziegler Capital in August 2005, Mr. Burka was a Principal and Senior portfolio Manager with Burnham, Sullivan, Andelbradt & Co., a registered investment advisor with offices in Chicago, Illinois and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He served as a member of BSA’s Investment Policy Committee and his responsibilities included institutional and high net worth individual portfolio management, investment research, and securities trading.
Before joining BSA, he spent nearly 27 years in the investment management function at Aon Corporation.
At Aon Advisors he was most recently Senior Executive Director and responsible for heading up the marketable equity investment, including management of insurance company portfolios and employee benefit plan portfolios.
He also managed selected pooled account, separate account, and mutual fund portfolios for the Life of Virginia subsidiary of Aon Corporation.
Mr. Burka received his B.A.
with double majors in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin, and his M.B.A with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate.
He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
