Mr. Mark E.
James is a Managing Director, Head of Sales & Research at RBS Capital Markets.
He has joint responsibility for the Investment Funds Team.
Over the past ten years his team has sponsored a range of 'permanent capital' vehicles investing in alternative assets, including more than £1.3bn in funds of hedge funds listed on the London Stock Exchange.
His team was rated #1 for Hedge Fund Research in the 2006 & 2007 Extel Survey, and Mark James was personally rated the leading analyst in the sector over both years.
One of his research notes,"Alternatively", covers the listed hedge fund sector and over the past five years has interviewed some of the leading fund of hedge fund groups.
Before joining ABN AMRO, Mr. Mark James was Head of Research at the Investment Funds team of SG Securities, and prior to this spent five years covering the emerging markets as a derivatives analyst.
He is a regular commentator in the press on the 'permanent capital' structure and has a degree in Economics.
