Mr. Mark A. Kinney, CFA MBA, is Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Newport Private Wealth, Inc. and a Managing Director at Newport Securities, Inc. He is on the Board of Directors at NexGen Financial Corp., ClearStream Energy Services, Inc. and The Yellow Bus Foundation.
He is also Chairman of Newport Private Wealth’s Investment Committee.
Prior to co-founding Newport Private Wealth in 2001, he was previously employed by Connor Clark Private Trust Co. as a Portfolio Manager.
Mr. Kinney also assisted with management of the firm’s fixed income assets.
He progressed quickly to Vice President and took on additional responsibilities as an equity analyst in industrial services.
He also worked at Canada Trust Income Investments.
Mr. Kinney received his undergraduate degree from York University and his MBA in Finance from McMaster University in 1989.
He is a CFA Charterholder.
