Michael Miner

At HEI, Mr. Miner is responsible for creating a management culture, that is equally committed to the overall quality of the guest experience, the associate environment and the financial results.
Previously, Mr. Miner was Managing Director of Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites, Area General Manager of the KOR Hotel Group In Los Angeles, and the Area Managing Director of Chicago Metro, where he was responsible for ten Starwood Metropolitan Hotels.
He was also Area Managing Director of the Sheraton New Orleans, where he was responsible for nine Starwood area hotels, and he spent ten years as a General Manager of Interstate Hotels, Memphis, Minneapolis, and Dana Point.
Mr. Miner is a Member of the Board of Directors of Convention and Tourism Bureaus Los Angeles, Chicago, and New Orleans.
He is a Member and Officer of the Board of Directors of Hotel Lodging Association in the same cities.
In 2002, he won the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association Awards: Hotelier of the Year and Chicago Downtown Hotelier of the Year.
He was Starwood Hotels and Resorts 1999 Hotel of the Year award receipent, Sheraton New Orleans.
