Prior to his appointment in SSgA, Mr. Sturino was the head of State Street's International Relationship Management Group.
In this capacity he was responsible for developing and overseeing the cross-divisional global solutions required for servicing the firm's largest and most complex client relationships.
Between 2000 and 2004, Mr. Sturino headed Cash Optimization for the Corporation and was also division head for State Street's worldwide end-to-end cash processing services.
Mr. Sturino joined the company in 1990, serving in its Toronto office as Head of Operations and Client Services for State Street's Investor Services business area.
He relocated to London in 1992 to lead Client Services.
In 1994, Mr. Sturino relocated to Boston to become the Global Head of Operations within State Street's Global Markets Division.
Mr. Sturino is also a member of State Street's Capital Committee and SSgA's Funding Committee.
Mr. Sturino holds an Honors B.A.
in Economics from York University in Toronto (Ontario, Canada).
