Paola Sapienza

Paola Sapienza is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, Inc., a Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, and a Trustee at the European Corporate Governance Research Foundation.
She previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Assicurazioni Generali SpA from 2010 to 2019 and as a Director at the American Finance Association from 2010 to 2013.
She also held the position of Lead Independent Director at Telecom Italia SpA.
Dr. Sapienza obtained her doctorate degree from Harvard University in 1998, her graduate degree from Harvard University in 1993, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Bocconi in 1989.
