Paul Kahumuza

Mr. Paul Kahumuza is a Research Analyst at Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa Pty Ltd.
Mr. Kahumuza joined Old Mutual Investment Group (SA) (previously OMAM) in April 2005, and is currently responsible for the fundamental analysis of Asset Management and Insurance stocks.
On the basis of this analysis, he makes recommendations to portfolio managers (boutiques) on the appropriate stocks to include in their portfolios.
Before joining OMIGSA, he worked in Old Mutual (SA) Corporate Benefits division as a Review Accountant.
In this role, his main responsibilities included managing the operations of a pension fund portfolio as well as the maintenance of financial records, in accordance with relevant accounting standards and fund rules.
He was also responsible for the preparation and presentation of periodic financial statements and reports to Pension Fund trustees in his portfolio of clients.
Prior to this, he worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young where he had completed his articles in 1997.
While there, he was involved in audits and consultancy assignments across various sectors including the Financial services sector, the Public sector, Transport and Logistics as well as the Retail and Consumer Products sector.
