From 1997 to 2013, Mr. Shapiro was the Vice Chairman of Klingenstein, Fields & Co., an investment advisory business.
From 1974 until 2010, he was also a Director of The TJX Companies, Inc., a multi-billion dollar NYSE company.
Mr. Shapiro has held leading roles in the investment industry including service as a Governor of the American Stock Exchange from 1970 to 1976, as Chairman of the Nominating Committee of the New York Stock Exchange in 1980, as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association in 1985, and as President of The Bond Club of New York from 1987 to 1988.
He previously served as an independent Trustee of the Burnham Investors Trust.
He graduated with a BA degree from Yale University.
