Robert Jhaveri

Mr. Robert Jhaveri is Managing Director for Dubai International Capital Global Equities, which focuses on investments in public securities.
As part of this role, Mr. Jhaveri leads the US$2 billion GSEF fund that makes structured investments in Fortune 500 global companies and seeks to become a leading shareholder in pre-eminent large global capitalisation stocks.
He experience in financial markets spans 20 years.
Prior to joining Dubai International Capital in 2007,he was a Portfolio Manager at Millennium Capital Partners, the London operation of a New York-based hedge fund.
As Portfolio Manager his focus was on Event Driven Strategies, catalyst driven special situations investing.
From 2000 to 2005,he was at HSBC Markets in London, as Director - Senior Equity Arbitrage Analyst.
From 1995 to 2000, he was Director – M&A and Corporate Finance at HSBC Investment Banking.
He was involved in origination and execution of deals ranging from major mergers to innovative structured transactions.
From 1990 to 1995 he was an Associate Director – M&A and Corporate Finance at Swiss Bank Corporation.
He holds an MBA as a Fulbright Scholar with a major in Finance from Columbia Business School, New York and a BSc degree from Lund University in Sweden.
He was a Lieutenant in the Swedish Air Force Reserves.
He speaks English, Swedish and German.
