Prior to joining Deutsche Asset Mangement, Mr. Janis was the Managing Director of Credit Suisse Asset Management.
He was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst specialising in post-venture capital, distribution management and small-capitalisation US equity portfolios.
Mr. Janis joined Warburg Pincus (WPAM) in 1994 before arriving at CSAM in 1999 when it acquired WPAM.
Previously, he was a Vice President and Senior Equity Analyst at US Trust Company of New York.
Mr. Janis holds a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
