Su Lin Ong

Ms. Su Lin Ong is Chief Economist & Senior Relationship Manager at RBC Securities Australia Pty Ltd. She is part of the global strategy team with primary responsibility for formulating and presenting RBC's AU/NZ macroeconomic outlook, cash rate view and bond yield forecasts.
Based in RBC's Sydney office, Ms. Ong supports the local capital markets operation as well as its key hub in Toronto, NY, London, Tokyo, and HK.
She regularly represents RBC at various industry, policy, and education forums.
Prior to joining RBC in 1998, she was a Fixed Income Economist for Hambros Bank and before that worked as an Economic Advisor at the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet.
Ms. Ong was a former Director of Business Spectator, Executive Member of The Australian Business Economists, sits on the NSW/ACT FINSIA Regional Council, joined CEDA's Economic Policy Committee.
She is also a member of RBC's Diversity Council, RWomen Committee and actively involved in their mentoring and charity programs including Dress for Success and A Woman's Place.
She holds a BEc from the University of Sydney, Post Graduate in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, and a Fellow, FINSIA. She was recently awarded a scholarship for the Company Directors course at The Australian Institute of Company Directors.
