Born in Falmouth to Japanese parents (now naturalized US citizens), Ms. Yuki Allyson Honjo received a grant from the Ford Foundation while a student at Harvard to do research in Yokohama and then later spent two years in Tokyo during her Ph.
D studies at Oxford University.
Her thesis was on the problems American and British traders faced when Japan first opened for business in the 19th century.
She now works as senior vice president in equity research at Fox-Pitt Kelton Cochran Caronia Waller, the latter recently in the news for advising the Merrill Lynch/Bank of America deal.
