Hagen, February 5, 2013 - The Supervisory Board of the Douglas Holding AG has appointed Dr. Dennis Schulze as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Dr. Dennis Schulze (43) is a proven financial expert with extensive experience. He has worked with the Carlyle Group since 1999. Based in Munich, Dr. Schulze managed the company's operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before joining the Carlyle Group, he worked as Assistant Professor and Project Manager with the Department of Financial Auditing in Münster. Dr. Schulze is married and has two children.

Dr. Dennis Schulze succeeds Dr. Burkhard Bamberger. The Supervisory Board of the Douglas Holding AG and Dr. Burkhard Bamberger came to a mutual agreement last week to terminate the mandate of Dr. Burkhard Bamberger as member of the Executive Board.

The Supervisory Board thanks Dr. Bamberger for his substantial contribution to the economic success of the DOUGLAS Group over the past years and wishes him success for the future. Furthermore, Dr. Jörn Kreke, Chairman of Douglas's Supervisory Board, said: " I am very happy to welcome Dr. Schulze, an outstanding expert in his field, as the new CFO. We are convinced that his expertise and his extensive experience will contribute significantly to the successful development of our company."

From now on, the Management Board of the Douglas Holding AG includes: Dr. Henning Kreke (President and CEO), Dr. Dennis Schulze (CFO), Manfred Kroneder (Head of Perfumeries Division), Michael Busch (Head of Books Division), and Nicholas Denissen (Head of E-Commerce Division).
