Sridhar Sambamurthy is the founder of West Point Partners LLC, which was founded in 2009.
He currently holds positions as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Inc., The Urban Land Institute, and the U.S.-India Business Council.
Mr. Sambamurthy's former positions include Executive Director & Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley from 1994 to 2002, Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. from 2002 to 2005, Independent Director at NorthStar Realty Finance Corp.
from 2011 to 2014, and Managing Director & Member-Investment Committee at Starwood Capital Group Global LLC from 2005 to 2008.

RJ Sridhar joined JAFCO Asia in 2007.
From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Sridhar worked as a Senior Associate with Morgan Stanley in New York, in the Equity Research division.
He covered companies in the U.S.
Communications Equipment sector with a combined market capitalization of about $300 billion, spanning the wireline, wireless and enterprise data networking segments.
He actively provided investment recommendations to large institutional investors and hedge funds as well as the bank’s internal sales & trading divisions.
Before receiving his graduate degree in business, Mr. Sridhar spent four years in engineering and technical management roles with companies in the telecommunications equipment industry including Nokia and Sycamore Networks, where he led multiple teams in qualifying the development of routing and switching products.
He began his professional career in 1999 as a test development engineer with Nortel Networks in California.
Mr. Sridhar was born in Chennai, India.
He received his B.Eng in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Madras University in India, and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University in the U.S.
He also earned an MBA with a concentration in finance and general management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
