Anita Jones

Anita K.
Jones is the founder of Tartan Laboratories, which was founded in 1981.
She held the title of Senior Vice President at Tartan Laboratories in 1987.
Dr. Jones currently holds the position of Director at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives and the US Civilian Research & Development Foundation.
She is also a Professor at the University of Virginia since 1988 and a Member of the Executive Committee at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Additionally, she serves on the Board of Trustees at In-Q-Tel and is a Member of the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., the National Academy of Engineering, and the American Philosophical Society.
She is also a Trustee at In-Q-Tel, Inc.Dr. Jones has previously held positions as an Independent Director at Leidos, Inc. and BBNT Solutions LLC.
She was the Director of the US Department of Defense from 1993 to 1996 and the Director-Emeritus of the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. She also served as a Director at Leidos Holdings, Inc. from 1987 to 1993 and from 1998 to 2011.
From 2010 to 2012, she was an Independent Director at ATS Corp.

She was a Member of the Governing Board at The National Science Foundation.
Dr. Jones obtained a doctorate degree from Carnegie Mellon University, an undergraduate degree from Rice University, and a graduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
