Benjamin Holcomb

Mr. Holcomb joined the Company in early 2004.
Since March 1999, Mr. Holcomb has been an independent consultant to fourteen venture capital backed start-ups.
In this capacity he has served in a number of positions including Chairman and CEO of a publicly traded CLEC and VP of Sales and Marketing for an enterprise software company.
Prior to launching his consultancy, Mr. Holcomb worked for twelve years with BellSouth’s domestic and international wireless operations.
Domestically, Ben spent almost ten years with BellSouth’s wireless division, initially known as American Cellular Communications (ACC).
After several years as CFO, Mr. Holcomb was named President of this division, which grew to include nationwide distribution, 8,000 employees, $1.5 billion in revenue with 1.5 million customers.
In 1997, Mr. Holcomb moved within BellSouth to become President of Europe/Asia-Pacific for BellSouth International, assigned to turnaround non-performing investments.
In a two-year period, Ben was able to significantly increase profitability resulting in a fifty percent reduction in operating losses, saving about $1 billion US in these operations.
Over the eight years before his move to the wireless industry, Mr. Holcomb worked with Holiday Inns, Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee.
His last position with Holiday Inns was CFO of the International Division, which at the time would have ranked as the ninth largest hotel chain in the world.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Mr. Holcomb began his career in public accounting.
He worked with what is now Deloitte & Touche for five years.
He still maintains his CPA certificate in the state of Tennessee.
