Mr. Brian R.
Kurtzer is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Verity Asset Management, Inc. He joined Verity and took a position on the investment committee in 2004.
In early 2006, he accepted an offer to become Portfolio Manager for the firm’s primary model portfolios, a role he has held since.
Mr. Kurtzer began his career in the financial services industry as a commodities broker and trader.
The majority of his 17 years in commodities were spent as a principle owner of TriCom Commodities, Inc. From 1983 to 2007, he was a member, first, of the Coffee, Sugar, Cocoa Exchange, and later, of the New York Board of Trade.
He also served on the Board of Governors of the New York Board of Trade for multiple terms before leaving the commodities business.
Mr. Kurtzer received his undergraduate degree from the State University of NY at Albany, and he holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law.
