Carla Mann Woods

Carla has been developing and marketing medical devices for over twenty years, beginning her career at Pacesetter Systems.
She joined Advanced Bionics in 1994, a cochlear implant company acquired by Boston Scientific.
During her tenure at Advanced Bionics/Boston Scientific, she was a driver and or the architect for the technologies and businesses including the BION® microstimulator, the Precision Spinal Cord Stimulator and the implantable infusion pump.
Carla was also involved in the turn around of the company’s cochlear implant division as the Vice President of Marketing.
For these products she holds over 40 U.S.
patents.
In 2007, she became the Vice President of Program Development and Strategic Planning for the Alfred Mann Foundation for Biomedical Engineering.
Carla now advises and assists companies in strategic planning.
She has served on numerous boards for the development of medical technologies.
She currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Center for Global Innovation at the USC Marshall School of Business and the Board of Counselors for the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC.
She is also a current member of the Board of Directors for The Fulfillment Fund.
