David A. Taran

Taran is Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Page Mill Properties LLC.
Mr. Taran has extensive professional experience in all aspects of real estate investment.
Over his career, he has assembled a diverse portfolio of institutional grade properties throughout the acquiring approximately $2.1 billion in real estate, including 13.8 million square feet of buildings, 700 acres of land and 449 hotel rooms.
Mr. Taran was responsible for overseeing all acquisitions, financings, asset management, and dispositions, for Page Mill’s predecessor partnerships, co-investment partnerships and Page Mill Fund I.
Prior to forming Page Mill and Page Mill Properties, L.P., he was a managing partner of his family’s global manufacturing and retailing business where his responsibilities included strategic and financial planning, sales, treasury, capital investments, business and real estate acquisitions and negotiations, currency trading and hedging and management.
Formerly, Mr. Taran was a practicing attorney at Graham & James in Los Angeles where he specialized in real estate, corporate and tax law.
Mr. Taran holds a DEC degree from McGill University , a law degree (L.L.L.) from the University of Ottawa , a law degree (J.D.) from Columbia University and a Masters in Tax Law (L.L.M.) from New York University .
He has been admitted to the bars of California , New York, Florida and Quebec and has published numerous articles on real estate and tax law.
He is a fully licensed California real estate broker, as well as a full member of the Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association, the National Association of Industrial and Office Product and the Real Estate Roundtable President’s Council.
He is also a member of the strategic advisory board of City National Bank.
