They were founded in 2014 and formerly a US division of Colonial First State Asset Management (Australia) Ltd. The firm is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MUFG Fund Services (USA), Inc., ultimately held by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (TYO: 8306, NYSE: MUFG) in Japan. Formerly known as First State Investments (US) LLC, they changed their name to First Sentier Investments (US) LLC in 2020. FSI US provides ongoing discretionary investment management services to institutional clients through a separate account, with respect to fixed income securities.
