Emil Javier

Emil Quinto Javier is currently the Chairman of The Asia Rice Foundation-Philippines, Nutrition Center of The Philippines, and Coalition For Agricultural Modernization of The Philippines.
He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director at Del Monte Pacific Ltd.
and an Independent Director at Centro Escolar University.
Additionally, he serves as a Director at the International Service for The Acquisition of Agri-Biotech App, Del Monte Philippines, Inc., Nutrition Foundation of The Philippines, Centro Escolar University Hospital, Inc., Del Monte Foods, Inc., and Las Piñas College.
Dr. Javier previously held positions as Chairman & President-Biology Division at the National Academy of Science Technology Philippines, Chairman at the International Rice Research Institute, Chairman at the Southeast Asian Regional Center For Graduate Study & Research, Director General at the Asian Vegetable Research Development Center, and President at the University of the Philippines.
He obtained a doctorate degree from Cornell University, an undergraduate degree from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and a graduate degree from the University of Illinois At Urbana–Champaign.
