Eric Chu

Mr. Eric H.
Chu is a Managing Director at BLX Group LLC.
His current responsibilities include overseeing firm’s derivative advisory/compliance practice as well as BLX’s firm wide technology initiatives.
Prior to returning to BLX’s Los Angeles office in 2007, Mr. Chu had resided in San Francisco, and before that, in New York where he oversaw day to day operations of those offices.
His expertise in financial products and in structuring arbitrage compliant solutions for complex transactions has helped BLX earn a reputation for technical excellence.
Mr. Chu was previously employed as a Principal by Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP and a Principal by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.
He has over twenty years of public finance experience.
Mr. Chu has worked on hundreds of interest rate swap transactions in an advisory or on-going monitoring capacity.
As an advisor, he has extensive experience in new transaction structuring, existing transaction workouts, ISDA document negotiation, and independent pricing of swap transactions to provide better transparency and execution levels for his clients.
Mr. Chu received a B.S.
Applied Mathematics and B.A. Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.
