Mr. Jamie Murray, CFA, is a Head of Research & Portfolio Manager at The Murray Wealth Group, Inc. He has a decade of experience and a broad background in financial and strategic analysis with specific experience in financial analysis and valuation.
Prior to joining MWG in 2017, he worked in Winnipeg at Investors Group as Manager, Strategic Analytics, supporting the executive team with product implementation, regulatory navigation and corporate profitability.
Mr. Murray was also employed by Desjardins Capital Markets as a Research Analyst and helped build the firm’s expansion in Calgary covering the Oil & Gas Services Sector.
Before moving to Calgary, He worked in Toronto on Desjardins Capital Markets, Sales & Trading floor as a “desk” analyst, supporting the sales team by developing investment themes and trade ideas.
He has also worked as a Compensation Analyst in Calgary with an independent boutique firm, assisting firms in the oil & gas and mining sectors with implementing best practices in executive compensation.
Mr. Murray started his investment career in 2007 at Dundee Capital Markets in Calgary as a Research Associate in the Oil and Gas Sector after graduating from The Richard Ivey School of Business.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario.
He also holds Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
