He is responsible for Apollo’s portfolio investment in Principal Structured Finance, including its global direct origination effort in high grade alpha, generating multi-billion-dollar funding solutions for large corporations globally.
Jamshid also oversees all insurance linked assets, the Private Financial Institution Group, Apollo/Athene Diversified Investment Partnership (ADIP) and the Financial Credit Investment Family of Funds / Franchise.
Prior to joining Apollo in 2010, he served in a number of senior positions at multinational organizations, including Swiss Re and UBS.
Previously, he was with The World Bank, where he held various positions including Principal Financial Officer.
Prior to that, he was Global Head, Derivatives and Emerging Markets Sales & Structuring, Citicorp.
He also served as President and CEO of Marsh McLennan Securities and MMC Enterprise Risk Management.
Dr. Ehsani holds a Doctorate Degree in Energy Economics from Sorbonne University and École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs and a post-MSc degree from the French Petroleum Institute engineering school.
