Zalla has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Chiquita Brands International, Inc. since June 2005.
From April 2005 to June 2005, he served as Vice President-Finance for the Chiquita Fresh Group-North America of Chiquita Brands International, Vice President, Treasurer and Corporate Responsibility Officer from April 2003 to April 2005 and served in various positions since 1990.
Prior to joining Chiquita, Mr. Zalla worked as an Auditor and Consultant in the Emerging Business Services Practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
He is a Director of Business for Social Responsibility, Inc. Mr. Zalla received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Thomas More College in 1985 and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1990 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
