Jim Dondero

Mr. James Dondero is a Managing Director at Andersen Tax LLC.
He has over 30 years of experience advising clients on business and valuation matters.
His focus is on valuations for tax and financial reporting for both closely held and publicly traded companies.
He has worked with clients in the technology, consumer goods and services, franchise, hospitality, biotechnology, medical device and financial services industries.
He has extensive experience in software, scientific instruments, medical devices, airlines and outdoor consumer products.
His projects have included financial reporting related valuations, tax valuations, strategic planning, and acquisition analysis.
He has valued both enterprises and intangible assets including in process R&D, developed technology, customers, franchise agreements, trade names, airline routes and slots, loyalty program liabilities and marketing programs.
He has also valued complex securities such as convertible debt, contingent consideration and phantom stock units.
Before joining Andersen Tax, Mr. Dondero was a Managing Director and Partner at several national professional service firms where he served in leadership roles in several industries including airlines and technology.
He has a masters in management science from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Proudfoot –Samuelson Fellow and a bachelor of science in accounting from Michigan State University.
