John Lucas

Managing Director with over 18 years’ experience across the energy space in trading, power marketing, renewable procurement and data center infrastructure John is responsible for leading Quinbrook’s US investment team, working across existing and new investments in critical infrastructure with a focus on renewable and carbon-free power solutions.
John is a member of Quinbrook’s Investment Committee John joined Quinbrook from Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) where he was Head of Renewables and Energy Procurement and oversaw AWS’s renewable power procurement efforts across the Americas.
During his time at AWS John’s team set records for renewable energy procurement by a corporate in back to back years with 4GW+ in 2020 and 6GW+ in 2021.
Prior to his leadership role at AWS, John held commercial roles focused on global energy, renewable and infrastructure procurement at META (Facebook) as well as energy trading positions at Morgan Stanley and Shell Energy North America.
John has considerable experience in business development, renewables, carbon-free supply and energy trading across global markets.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
