They are active investors providing hands-on operational support in addition to financing. They generally take over 20% in equity stakes. Investments typically range from GBP 5 to 25 million. AIA continually reviews their investments with their objective to realize optimal value for their shareholders. They consider trade sales, flotation or secondary refinancing of portfolio firms. They evaluate viable exit opportunities within a two- to four-year time frame.
