John Thornton

Mr. John Thornton is a Head of Fixed Income at Keyridge Asset Management Ltd. He is a Senior Active Fixed Income Fund Manager and is a member of the Asset Allocation Committee.
He manages discretionary active fixed income strategies for institutional, retail and defined benefit pension scheme clients.
He is also responsible for managing ILIM’s LDI product, advising defined benefit pension schemes on their liability matching strategies.
He has been at the heart of developing our ALM modelling capabilities.
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Thornton worked for UBS in London, helping to re-establish a bond trading desk for European asset-backed securities (ABS), and was an Executive Director within the UBS credit trading department.
Before this, he held roles in London at RBS and J.P.
Morgan, across both primary and secondary ABS markets.
Prior to his work at J.P.
Morgan, he worked for Canada Life in Dublin.
While working in life assurance, he qualified as an actuary, before moving to London.
He graduated from the University College Dublin with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial and Financial studies.
