Matt has 18 years of banking experience and has held a number of senior positions during his 10 year tenure at Scotia Capital.
As Co-Head of Global Infrastructure Finance, Matt is jointly responsible for Scotia Capital's infrastructure business that provides financial advisory, lending, capital markets and derivative products to the Bank's global client base.
As Head of Global Energy Solutions Group, Matt is responsible for managing Scotia Capital's global energy trading and origination business.
The group offers a full suite of financial based risk management products to producers and consumers of energy.
Scotia Capital recently acquired UBS AG's US energy business to help expand its product suite for its global clients.
Matt led Scotia Capital's European and Asian Capital Markets operations in London, Dublin and Singapore before returning to Toronto in 2007.
Matt began his career at Bank of America in London and was at TD Securities prior to joining Scotia Capital.
He received his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
