Nevill Gluyas

Mr. Nevill Gluyas, CFA, is an Analyst at Jarden Securities Ltd. Mr. Gluyas specializes in analyzing NZX-listed electricity and energy stocks, and providing research-based views on historical and potential performance as investment prospects for both institutional and retail investors.
He sees the electricity markets as extremely dynamic, with short term supply volatility, long term investment needs to meet changing demand profiles and technology shifts, and a key role to play in addressing climate change.
Prior to joining Jarden, Mr. Gluyas worked in strategy and market forecasting at Meridian Energy for 13 years, where he was involved in many of Meridian’s major initiatives, including Tiwai smelter contract negotiations, the creation of Powership, transmission pricing methodology, wind farm economics and entry to the Australian market.
He previously worked for an investment bank where he was involved in the sale of the Enerco gas network, retail electricity customer bases and early ECNZ separation modelling.
He holds a BCA (Honors) in Economics and Finance from Victoria University and is a CFA charter holder.
