Strand was the founder of Nord Precious Metals Mining, Inc. founded in 2005, where she served as Director & Executive Vice President from 2010 to 2012.
Currently, she holds director positions at Encore Resources Ltd., Northwest Territories Power Corp., Graveltech, Inc., 974134 N.W.T.
Ltd., Encore Resources, Inc., Miramar Mining Corp., and the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of AB. In the past, she held various director positions at Firestone Ventures, Inc., Shear Diamonds Ltd., Grizzly Discoveries, Inc., St. Eugene Mining Corp.
Ltd., Kaminak Gold Corp., Canadian Gold Corp., Garson Gold Corp., Northern Tiger Resources, Inc., and served as Chairman of Naples Capital Corp.
She was also a Director & Vice President of the NWT & Nunavut Chamber of Mines and a Director of the Alberta Chamber of Resources.
Ms. Strand's education includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a graduate degree from the University of Western Ontario.
