Profil

Partner in the Private Equity – Buyouts business area, Pedro joined Explorer Investments in 2018.
He is responsible for the investments, divestments, and monitoring of the portfolio companies in Explorer’s Buyout funds.
Previously he worked in Investment Banking, including the M&A team at BBVA in Madrid and the M&A team at Rabobank (former Rothschild-Rabobank joint-venture) in Amsterdam and Paris.
He began his career in the M&A department at BPI/Caixabank in Lisbon, Porto and Madrid.
He has a wide range of experience having worked on various mandates for the purchase and sale of companies, with an exposure to multiple sectors, such as consumer goods, industrials and infrastructure.
Invited Professor of Private Equity and Venture Capital at Católica-Lisbon SBE.
He holds a double Master's Degree in finance from Lancaster University Management School (2012) and from Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics (2011), has a Bachelor degree in Management from Católica-Lisbon SBE (2010), and obtained a Certificate in Business Strategy from INSEAD (2021) and a Certificate in Negotiation from Harvard Business School (2022
