He was a Fellow, Instructor and Assistant Professor at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1975 to 1980.
He received a BS degree in Chemistry from Drexel University in 1968 and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972.
