He obtained a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1997, a Chartered Business Valuator designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV) in 1999 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2003.
