Simone Ross

Simone Ross is Founder of Idea Evolution Ventures.
A content strategist with a successful background in high-level content curation and strategic program development, Simone has been an active observer of the companies, individuals, and ideas at the intersection of technology, the economy and society for over 20 years, since her days as the Director of Program Operations for the Computerworld Smithsonian Information Technology Awards.
She specializes in designing programs and convening substantive conversations that connect the people and ideas at the intersection of technology and progress, and explore the applications and implications of that tech on how we work, live and play.
Most recently, as the cofounder and chief program officer of Techonomy Media she was responsible for all program content and served as executive producer for the Techonomy conferences (Techonomy Bio, Techonomy Detroit, Techonomy Health, Techonomy NYC, Techonomy Policy and the annual Techonomy flagship conference.) The Techonomy conferences focus on exploring tech’s role as a driver of social and economic productivity and progress.
Prior to Techonomy, she was program director for Fortune’s conference division, responsible programming the Fortune Global Forum, Fortune 500 Forum, Most Powerful Women Summit, iMeme and Brainstorm.
Before joining Fortune, she was director of operations at the Computerworld Smithsonian Awards Program, a non-profit endeavor that helped the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History chronicle the information age revolution.
Simone regularly advises companies on their content and conference strategy, and is known for creating insightful and challenging programs focused on helping organizations understand the complex issues and ideas impacting business, society and the future.
