She was a Founding Director of the Center for Africa and the Media at Duke University.
Previously, she was an Executive Producer of National Public Radio.
Dr. Hultman received an MA degree in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures and a PhD in Journalism as well as Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina.
