Vargas held several positions in different firms throughout his career.
He started as a Vice President of Finance at Worldres Ltd. and then became a Finance Director at Kosan Biosciences, Inc. Later, he worked as a Director of Business Development at Anergen, Inc. and Neurogastrx, Inc. He then joined Ernst & Young LLP as a Member of the Life Sciences Audit Practice.
Finally, he worked for Assertio Therapeutics, Inc. for 15 years, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Mr. Vargas obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
