Mr. Andrew James, CFA MBA, is an Assistant Vice President & Managing Director of Public Growth Assets at The University of Chicago Endowment.
Prior to that, he served as a senior portfolio manager responsible for the university’s equity-oriented funds, multi-strategy absolute return funds, and global public equities.
He previously served as the senior portfolio manager for the real assets team.
Prior to joining the Office of Investments in 2009, he was responsible for private equity real estate investments at HRJ Capital.
He also spent five years with the Allstate Insurance Company, most notably as an analyst on the private equity real estate team.
Mr. James holds an MBA and a BA in history with honors from Marquette University.
He is a CFA Charterholder and was awarded the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
