Indicus Advisors LLP (Indicus) is the alternative investment management subsidiary of Indicus Advisors LLP in Great Britain. The firm was established by David Reilly and Ujjaval Desai in 2006 , specializing in European leveraged finance and global portfolio corporate credit. In 2008, Cinven Ltd., a European buyout firm founded in 1977, acquired a 50% stake in the firm. Located in London with offices in New York, Indicus manages a range of long-term funds and also advises institutional investors.

The firm was founded in 1997 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TIAA-CREF Asset Management LLC, ultimately owned by TIAA Board of Governors. TCIM provides investment management and certain administrative services necessary for the operation of the College Retirement Equities Fund (CREF), a diversified open-end registered investment management company that consists of eight accounts, that issues individual, group and tax-deferred variable annuity contracts.
