The non-profit company is based in Denver, CO. The Lowry Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy, history, and community spirit of the Lowry neighborhood and the former Lowry Air Force Base. The foundation supports the redevelopment of Lowry by maintaining public art installations, parks, and recreational facilities, and fostering community pride. It owns and operates the historic Eisenhower Chapel, a non-denominational military chapel listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which serves as a venue for weddings, memorials, religious services, community events, and meetings. The foundation manages thirteen public art pieces throughout Lowry that reflect the area’s aviation heritage, nature, and history, including sculptures, murals, and artistic transit shelters. It provides resources on Lowry’s history, buildings, schools, notable figures, and military legacy, offers historic tours, community programs such as lecture series and art shows, and encourages volunteerism and donations to support its mission. The Lowry Foundation was founded in 1998.
